Tariff for visiting Bhutan

The minimum daily tariff of the tourist is set by Tourism Council of Bhutan and the Royal Government of Bhutan. The latest amendment for tariff from Department of Tourism, Press Release 25th August 2023 states:

Sustainable Development Fee (SDF):

• All the tourist visiting Bhutan should pay SDF of USD 100 per person per night.

• All the tourist visiting Bhutan should pay SDF of USD 100 per person per night.
• The SDF for Indian Nationals is INR 1200 per person per night.
• Children between 6-12 years is USD 50 per person per night.
• Visa Fee of USD 40 (one time)

Services :

• Accommodation of minimum 3 Star Hotel/ Resort which is approved by the Tourism Council of Bhutan.
• All the three meals (including water,  tea with snacks) will be provided.
• A licensed Bhutanese Tour Guide for the entire trip.
• Internal Transportation by comfortable Car/ SUV or others upon the number of heads.
• All basic camping equipment’s for trekking tours
• All the internal entry fee for the tour (Sightseeing, entrances fees to museums & monuments, all permits)
• A royalty of $100 per person per night (to be paid to Tourism Council of Bhutan)
